Fiona and Nigel
Fiona joined SSP as the Senior Chartered Accountant in 2021 having gained considerable experience initially in practice.
For the last 16 years, she has worked as both a Chartered Accountant and CFO in technology and media for both larger companies and start-ups.
She has broad commercial knowledge, and strong experience in accounting, corporation tax, research and development tax credits, enterprise investment schemes and company and IP valuations.
Nigel is a Physicist with a industrial research background in diverse sectors: consumer electronics (Sharp Electronics, Philips), medical diagnostics, medical/biotech trials and business/innovation consultancy.
Over the past 20 years, he's consulted with 100s of large and small innovative companies on the development of their innovative ideas and their grant funding raising ambitions.
To date he's been responsible for well over 150 successful grant funding applications from all major commercial sectors. Nigel is also a proposal review for agencies such at the European Commission, Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council.
