Damien and Nigel
Damien has 15 years experience in grant writing, helping start-ups and established businesses secure funding for innovative R&D projects. Damien cofounded Wax RDC, a consultancy which has secured over £25m in grants for clients across multiple sectors including FinTech, MedTech and EdTech.
A Mechanical Engineer by training, he has extensive experience in the planning and management of large multi-partner innovation projects both for the UK Government and the European Commission.
Damien is a digital innovation specialist with design, project management and engineering expertise.
Nigel is a Physicist with a industrial research background in diverse sectors: consumer electronics (Sharp Electronics, Philips), medical diagnostics, medical/biotech trials and business/innovation consultancy.
Over the past 20 years, he's consulted with 100s of large and small innovative companies on the development of their innovative ideas and their grant funding raising ambitions.
To date he's been responsible for well over 150 successful grant funding applications from all major commercial sectors. Nigel is also a proposal review for agencies such at the European Commission, Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council.
Nigel is passionate about how best to use public investment to promote positive social and commercial outcomes.
