Intellectual Property (Patents, Copyright etc.) can be your best friend and your worst enemy.
If you have something unique – don’t discuss it with anyone until you’ve taken advice (Startup-Gurus provide the initial expert discussion for free). This will establish if it is unique, and if it is, the best way to protect it.
It might also reveal that what you thought was unique already exists and someone else owns the rights - giving you time to change tack without wasting money and effort
Remember, the moment you start talking about your “unique” thing, you’ve put it in the public domain and it can no longer be protected – so be very careful…….
